A Great Composer You Should Known

Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, Saxe-Eisenach. He was the youngest child of Johann Ambrosius Bach, an organist at St. George’s Church. He was a talented musician, loyal to his wife, and a religious person. He has twenty children, but only seven survived infancy. During his life he composed more than 1,000 works. Bach was best known during his lifetime as an organist, organ consultant, and composer of organ works in both the traditional German free genres—such as preludes, fantasias, and toccatas—and stricter forms, such as chorale preludes and fugues.
