Arabesque (Debussy)

Music’s Review

Played by Serg van Gennip, a brilliant pianist, this music is so wonderful. The music flows like a river, lightly and clear throughout the piece. It is like dreaming your own world. This piece has a colorful harmony with a lot of chromatic sounds. Listen it, you will feel calmness and peace.

Sonata in G Major K.259 & K.260 (Scarlatti)

Music’s Review

Sonata in G Major was composed by Domenico Scarlatti. This piece consists of two parts and played in the singing stlye. The first part is Andante, played at a walking pace (medium speed). The second part is Allegro, played quickly and flowing. Like other composition in Baroque period, the dynamic depends on each performer.

Domenico Scarlatti was born in Naples, Italy, in 1685. He spent much of his life in Spain and Portugal. He composed at least one oratorio, 17 symphonies, more than a dozen operas, 500 harpsichord sonatas, and a harpsichord concerto. He died in Madrid on July, 1757.
